Castaway Firecrest

There he was running down the streets  almost as if he was being chased by police or even worse the black suits. No,this was something far worse. The air around the streets  was hot as a forge. The young boy turned around and saw them coming closer.

He turned along a dark alley. He ran through the trash strewn floor. He narrowly dodge some dog poo on the ground. As he passed a garbage bin, a cat streaked past him in terror. It was a black cat.Its tail was in the air. Even rats appeared running away.

He reached a dead end. There was a car that was parked near the brick red cement wall. He climbed onto it. He then jumped over the wall into a factory. It was a well known toy factory that produced little teddy bears. He ran into one of the buildings. The building he found himself in was a warehouse filled with towers of crates and cargo boxes.

He dashed behind a box.A clicking sound started and it was coming nearer. The boy backed even deeper into the gap between the crates. The air was becoming thin until he could barely breathe. A drop of sweat rolled down from his forehead to his eyes.It stung him but he would not close his eyes or even move to rub it.

Smoke began to rise from the ground. It then spread to the boxes and even the cargo containers made of metal. The boy yelped when he touched the container. It left him with a third degree burn. The air was thick with smoke but when he moved his hands through it felt thin like air in the mountains.

A pungent smell was getting stronger. The clicking noise had been replaced by the sounds lizards make. His face turned sour with disgust. He got ready to run. The crate to his left burst in flames. He stumbled backward onto his hands. As he tried to push himself up, his arms just gave way.

His eyes were wide open as one of them came into sight. These individuals that were chasing him may look like humans but they acted more like monsters. One of them came up to the boy.She looked like a woman that you would expect as a cook. She pulled her hair. The hair and the skin fell away. The others did the same.

The boy could see four claws on each with what looked like barbed pointed tails. Then a strange cooling fog surrounded the boy's vision. He saw a blue diamond  boat floating on a river of silver flames. At the edge of the boat,a figure in a red armor with a brown hooded cape waved at the boy.
